1979 Budget “Player in Focus Norm Uncle”. back from the football wilderness that is Norm Uncle. Uncle had a serious operation on an ankle last year and a complete loss of confidence resulted. His ability to hold down the full-forward position in the Claremont side was questioned. Uncle was moved to the reserves to regain form and Ross Ditchburn went to full forward. As a result of his work ethic he was moved back to the seniors and after 5 games he is becoming the focal point of this side. In 5 games he has booted 25 goals and he has kicked 205 goals in his 89 games.
